Don't wait till the iron is hot to strike—but make it hot by striking. Few of us are smart enough to remember all we know. Never use a weakness to excuse lack of achievement. All his life, Lord Nelson, England's famous naval hero who destroyed Napoleon's fleet, suffered from seasickness. Most of us can do more than we think we can, but usually do less than we think we have.

"A handful of seed cast into the air will blanket the ground with beauty for the soul or food for the hungry. I, too, will set myself into the wind and cast high my handful of seed, and perhaps it will produce both beauty and food for myself and for others."

Arthur Wallis
"Apostolic preaching is not marked by its beautiful diction, or literary polish, or cleverness of expression, but operates "in demonstration of the Spirit and of power."

A Universe of Increase

When God created His universe, He put into every part it a Law of Increase—or, if you prefer, a Law of Multiplication. Since the moment before time when God said, "Let there be light" and the universe exploded into billions of stars and planets, it has been continually increasing itself, pushing farther and farther out into space, ever expanding, and will continue to do so until time is no more.

Upon this earth, every seed of every kind planted anywhere in the right soil gives back multiplications of itself—always increasing, never decreasing. It matters not what the seed—physical, material, mental, emotional, spiritual—God's Law of Increase is the same for each kind.

When you think about it, there is no way life could exist on earth if God had not created the Law of Increase. Imagine if a kernel of corn reproduced only one kernel of corn, and the same with all other types of seeds. It's effect would be that there would be no food on this planet for animals or humans to eat, for each seed would only reproduce one of its kind. But God has not made it so: "Then the earth shall yield her increase; God, our own God, shall bless us" (Psalm 67:6).

How Much Corn Is There In a Kernel of Corn?

It's corn time in the country and you're having barbequed corn and other stuff. Now consider this: You can count the number of kernels on an ear of corn,  but if you cut open one of the kernels, can you count how much corn is in the kernel?

Each kernel has the ability to produce a stalk with one to three ears, and each ear will have about 800 kernels. Each of those kernels, in turn, has the ability to produce a corn stalk with one to three ears of about 800 kernels each, and so on. Now to keep it simple, let's say I get only one ear on each stalk. If I plant one kernel of corn here in the good soil of Ohio, and then plant the resulting 800 kernels next year, and then the 640,000 kernels the next, and keep on doing that, in not too many years I could cover the entire state with corn—all grown from my original one kernel.

Listen, God started with only two human beings and look at how many people are on the earth today. Billions today, zillions tomorrow. "And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth" (Genesis 1:28).

Now Here's the Crux of the Matter

What is it that you want or need? Whatever it is, start planting the seed of that thing now. Do you want more faith, then start planting seeds of faith by using whatever faith you now have in whatever way you can. Toward the end of his life, George Mueller said it was now easier for him to believe God for $10,000 than it had been for $5 in the beginning.

Do you want success, then start planting seeds of success in your mind—think success and nothing but success. "As a person thinks in his heart, so is he" (Proverbs 23:7). Seeds of success planted in your conscious mind will send roots down into your subconscious (heart) and begin to draw nutrients of success from the abundance of the universe. Soon you'll find confidence of success and knowledge of how to attain it growing within you, and you'll increasingly do those things that will make you successful.

God's Laws Never Fail

God's universal Law of Increase never fails, no more than His Law of Gravity ever fails. For one of God's laws to fail, God Himself would have to fail, and that is a sheer impossibility. Throughout God's creation, every seed planted—whether physical, material, mental, emotional, or spiritual—brings forth an increase of itself. The Law of Increase is so certain, that the apostle Paul could write, "Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness" (2 Corinthians 9:10). And he could warn, "But shun profane and idle babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness" (2 Timothy 2:16).

Whether negative or positive, whether failure or success, whether good or evil, whether heaven or hell, the seed you plant will return to you an increase of itself. The kind of seed you plant is up to you. Maybe that's why Paul said, "Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things" (Philippians 4:8).

Blogtalkradio Interview

Thursday, Lloyd Hildebrand, Publisher and CEO of Bridge-Logos Foundation, interviewed me on B-L's blogtalkradio show, "We're Talking Books." The interview was about my current book, How to Be Filled With Spiritual Power, John G. Lake, and other things—he also mentioned my next book, Christ Is God's Everything, which will be published in February, but we did not talk about it. If you would like to hear the interview, it's on our retail site, www.blretail.com and our ministry site, www.omegafaith.org.

See you at the house!
