Author Linda Born shows how difficult it was to make the transition from a mother-daughter relationship to the more complicated caregiver-patient relationship. By way of 100 inspirational readings the book provides solid, scriptural help for care-givers.

Practical care-giving helps are scattered throughout the book, which concludes with a question-and-answer section that addresses such issues as respite care, legal counsel, and choices in long-term care. This practical book will help you find strength, hope, and help in the midst of trying circumstances.

Linda BornLinda Born has been a teacher since 1978. She currently works in Reading Recovery, a program for children who have reading challenges. She holds two degrees from Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas: a BSE in Elementary Education and an MS in Curriculum and Instruction.

She is also the caregiver for her mother, who has had dementia of the Alzheimer’s type since 2004. Linda resides in Kansas with her husband, son, and mother.
