Throughout history, great leaders have exhorted the Church to
repent and return to the righteousness of God and the power of
His Spirit. E. M. Bounds was such a man. Edward McKendree
Bounds was born in 1835 in Shelbyville, Missouri. His writings
in this book serve as warning to the modern Church: if the
people of God turn their backs on the righteousness of God, the
power of God will not be operative within their lives or within
the church.

Darrel D. King has
traveled the length and breadth of our nation, teaching people
how to pray. He was an Instructor with Change the World Schools
of Prayer. He served as Special Assistant in the Office of
Prayer and Spiritual Awakening, Home Mission Board, Southern
Baptist Convention. He has written numerous articles and several
books on prayer and the life of E. M. Bounds. Darrel lives in
Atlanta, Georgia. He is married to Jan, his wife of 46 years—he
has two grown daughters, Sara and Beth, a son-in-law, Robert,
and is “Pa” to his grandson, James. |
